Epiphany

For those who wonder why we still have our Christmas decorations up, today, January 6th, is the Feast of Epiphany celebrated by liturgical churches all over the world. As a big fan of the Magi who traveled great distances to worship the newborn king, I like to take the time to remember that today the wise still do seek Him.

Sometimes called Three Kings' Day or Little Christmas, Epiphany's preceded by 12th Night (not to be confused with the play with of the same name which inspired She's the Man, but I digress).

Take a moment today to ponder the perseverance of those eastern wise men who traveled so far seeking truth, and finding it, were compelled to worship the newborn king. I'm setting my sights on that sort of dedication this year.
