Life versus Art

Writing is one thing. Publishing is an entirely different animal. This year at Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers Conference, my novel, VICAR SHRIMPTON'S GHOST was awarded second place (along with Adam King) in the Foundation Awards for unpublished works. This is my third Blue Ridge award, an honor that makes continuing to write my heart out less frustrating. I still have no agent or publishing deal, but at least someone thinks I can write.
My Regency novels are a bit difficult to categorize since they are historical romance-adventures with a dash of paranormal. The characters aren't perfect, but they deal with difficult issues with humor and faith. They rise to the challenge when adventures turn dangerous, counting on camaraderie based on shared values and experiences. I've been told by my beta readers, they're people you want to spend time with.
My Vicars and Viscounts series follows four friends and is set primarily in Wotton-under-Edge, a delightful village in the Cotswolds. There are four completed novels so far, and I'm fixing to go on a full-court press to get them out to the public. The feedback I've received is very gratifying, but if you should stumble on this post and decide you'd like to be an early reader, I'd welcome more input.
