So this happened...

Along with about 7or 800 other writers I participated in the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writer's Conference this past week and learned more than one would think possible in five days. It's hard to grasp the impact of that many fabulously talented people enjoying worship, learning, and lots of laughter together.It's an incomparable experience. In addition, my Regency novel was chosen as first place winner in the Foundation Awards for unpublished works, a distinction I hope will help it get published a little faster.

It's a long and winding road to publication, but this acknowledgement provided an indication I'm on the right path. Spirits begin flagging a little when there's no feedback, so I am grateful to God (and the BRMCWC) for the energy boost such recognition provides.

If only it didn't look so much like a mug shot, I'd frame it and put it over my computer for daily encouragement!
